Copy on Slot Shortlist is written by the site’s editorial desk. There are no named columnists and no invented newsroom. Assessments are grounded in public documents, not in unpublished “insider” briefings.
Sources
- UK Gambling Commission public register (licence holder, account number, licensed domains)
- The operator’s own terms, footer and product pages
- Official app-store listings for iOS and Android
- Studio names visible in the live and slots lobbies
If a licence number, legal name or domain cannot be matched to the register, that field is left out. Approximation is not a substitute.
Scoring
Scores are out of 10. Mobile and app quality is weighted above other criteria on this build. Game range, live casino, studios, offer type, support and usability fill the rest. We do not score payments, deposits or withdrawal speed.
Re-checks
Operator tickets are reviewed on a roughly monthly cycle, and sooner if a licence status or store listing changes. The “last updated” line on the homepage is the date of the last pass. Offer wording is kept to type (“free spins”, “no wagering”) unless a figure is still clearly published by the operator on the day of the check.
Commercial separation
Affiliate deals can affect who is listed and in which slot on the ledger. They cannot rewrite a score to match a rate card. The affiliate disclosure is the public record of that relationship.
Corrections
Factual errors are amended on the page and, where the change is material, noted via corrections. Send evidence to editorial@slotshortlist.com.
